Plot[]
History[]
During his youth, Akira grew up and lived in a single parent household with his mother, his father having passed away from illness when he was younger. The two were very close with Akira's mother reading manga to him at bedtime. Eventually, Akira started creating his own stories in order to see the smile on his mother's face.[2] One day, he found a G-Liner that granted him omniscience knowledge of both the future and past of the loop. Inspired by what he saw, he rushed home to draw it out for his mother, only to discover that she could no longer see him as a secondary effect of the pen, having become Unknown. As a result, Akira could no longer interact with the outside world as his poor mother became racked with grief, praying to God that Akira could continue his works. He eventually left the household to live on the streets, wanting to continue fighting and also granting his mother's wish.
During a contest hosted by Shueisha, Akira submitted a one-shot called To You, From Me (君に伝われ Kimi ni Tsutaware?), an ordinary Shojo manga, expecting it to not be seen. It won, and he learned that so long as he wrote under the pseudonym Anno Un, his works wouldn't be negated. During his time at Shueisha, Akira wondered if it everything the G-Liner said was true, and he traveled to where Andy would be training his swordsmanship under Yusai to conform it. Upon learning Andy was real, he realized the future shown by the artifact; Fuuko's death by Sean leading to Victor killing Juiz, thus dooming humanity, threatened to pass. Not wanting it to happen, Akira turns his ordinary manga into a sci-fi love story to predict events told by the G-Liner and travels to locate the Soul Caliber Artifact to help. He also discovered the G-Liner could bring anything drawn to life, creating Anno Un to interact with others so he could see his mother again. However, she'd passed before Anno could reach her. After writing 101 volumes of material, he ended the series before going off the grid and staying at his private mansion in Canada.
Autumn Arc[]
After losing the Roundtable to Under, the Union plan to obtain and study the manuscript of To You, From Me as Juiz believes the manga holds the past and future events of this world. Andy points out that doing so will be difficult as nothing is known about the author. The Union plan to write a manga of their own and submit it to Shueisha for publishing, which will allow them to peak at the original manuscript
After finishing the manga, they successfully find the manuscript at Shueisha and discover that it is still written in Japanese and was unaffected by the language unification, meaning it was penned using an artifact of some kind. Fuuko gets his attention by taking the editor Tahioka's phone while she was talking to him. He agrees to meet them at the Stanley Bench in Canada in five hours.
Upon coming to Canada, Anno greets them, causly killing a Junior with his Artifact will stating he wants "a story [he] won't see coming". Seeing that neither Andy or Fuuko are able to do anything against Autumn, he lops off his left arm to allow an attack powerful enough to stun Autumn to escape, leading them to his mansion as part of a plan to train them. He uses G-Liner to recreate Autumn's claw to turn Andy into a book and use Soul Caliber to insert Fuuko's soul into the book to allow them to have a better understanding of their abilities, and reconcile with Victor. In the time Fuuko is in the book, Anno is confronted by Rip, Bunny, and Sean. The resulting scuffle to protect Andy and Fuuko from Under makes Anno lose his other arm, but at this point, Andy's Undead has evolved to where Anno is able to warn Andy and the latter uses a Dead Line to stop Sean from killing Fuuko, changing the timeline from there.
When Rip explains his reason for why he joined Under, Akira warns him that neither he nor Latla will ride the Ark, and will lose Latla instead. Just then, Autumn attacks, having been drawn to Andy's book.
During the final fight against Autumn, Akira sacrifices his G-Liner to restore Rip's age. Not only does this age Akira to become an elder, but also destroys Anno Un, thus removing his only way of interacting with anyone. He wishes them all good luck before Anno fades away. After Autumn is defeated, Andy thanks Akira for helping them by reaching out for a fist bump, with a now elderly Akira reciprocating.
Ragnarok Arc[]
Akira is revealed to have been by Fuuko's side the entire time thanks to his ability, and after she jumps, narrates the final moments of the 100th loop, seeing the despair of hundreds of Suns attacking the Roundtable the remaining Negators stood on. His last thoughts as he tearfully draws Victor is that the next story Fuuko will create be one where the Negators win against the Gods. He also leaves an addendum to tell his next loop's self everything that happened.
Union Arc[]
In the 101st loop, Akira manages to find G-Liner again. Before he could touch it, Fuuko stops him before he can activate its ability. This way, Akira never gains the Unknown ability. Fuuko then has Move take them to the bench where they first met in the last loop, where she explains everything that she's been through since the loop's start. Inspired, Akira promises to cheer the Union on by making a manga based on them before Move drops him back into his home, thus being able to live peacefully with his mother.
