The Autumn Arc is the sixth arc of the Undead Unluck manga series, and the sixth arc of the 100th Loop Saga. It deals with the UMA Autumn's quest, a mysterious author Negator, and the pasts of both facets of Undead.
Synopsis[]
Realizing that To You, From Me possess prophetic qualities, Juiz has Fuuko and Andy investigate the manuscript and the author behind it. But as nobody knows how to contact them, Andy decides the only way is to create a manga and draw them out. With help from Union, they are able to create a manga called "Under + Unluck" and go to Shueisha HQ and find the manuscript, and discover it's still written in Japanese. Upon conforming that You-Me is a "book of prophecy", Fuuko realizes that there was nothing about Billy's defection, nor the current quests. Asking the interviewer Tahioka, they learn that three arcs that were shelved, one including Andy's past. Juiz then gives Fuuko and Andy the go ahead to contact Anno Un, which Fuuko does by using Tahioka's phone to call them. They agree to meet the both of them in the Stanley Bench in Canada in five hours. As they fly to Canada, they realize that Anno must be aware for not only them, but of Union as well.
At the bench, Anno approaches them without the duo even realizing it, but they state that while they do know everything, it's no fun if they explain it, before using the G-Liner to slay UMA Autumn's Juniors and wants the two to show them the "ultimate ending". Realizing Autumn is here, Fuuko and Andy try to fight it, but ignore Anno's warnings about being no match and the author is forced to chop off their own arm to allow them to escape. At Anno's house, they contact Juiz and asks her if they can train the duo. Juiz is against it, but concedes when Fuuko states that she trusts them, and Andy wants to learn about his past and become stronger. Anno then re-creates Autumn's power to turn Andy into a book and has Fuuko to traverse it, so that she can learn Andy's past. While there, she interacts with Andy's younger self, known as "the Chief", and witnesses his previous crew being killed by bandits, with only him surviving thanks to his powers and then taking revenge against his killers. Him and Fuuko would then journey together for a while before she would eventually fade and head to another part of Andy's life, only to be intercepted by Victor, who wants to erase Fuuko's soul so he can take over Andy in a moment of weakness and kill Juiz.
As this happens, Anno is attacked by a younger Rip, who wants them to tell Under the future. Anno responds by fighting the Under member to protect the two. Anno's past is then revealed, in that his real name is Akira Kuno, and his Negator power, Unknown, caused him to disappear from public consciousness and prevent himself from interacting with anyone after finding a G-Liner which was an Artifact that had knowledge about the previous loops. While in despair due to being unable to interact with anyone, including his mother, he would create You-Me using the G-Liner and the information in it to interact with others. Akira loses his other arm fighting Rip as Sean prepares to kill Fuuko to rise up the ranks of Under.
Back inside the book, Victor's attempts to kill Fuuko are thwarted by the Andy that would chronologically meet her, who uses his interactions with Fuuko when he was "the Chief" to gain a better understanding of their Negator abilities, forcing Victor to experience enough Unluck that he is eventually sealed away in the same capsule that was meant for Andy, causing Victor to finally admit defeat. Afterwards, Fuuko asks Victor to share his past, which is revealed that he worked with Juiz to form the Union and fight against God, but soon gave into despair and wanted to kill Juiz to save her from the impossible task, not wanting to see the woman he loves suffer. However, his fight with them shows signs of "evolution", and now he's given up on trying to interfere with the Union and tells her how to leave by kissing Andy on the lips.
Sean is about to kill Fuuko when Andy's turns back, and thanks to Akira's warning, Andy uses "Dead Line" on him, killing Unseen and changing the future. As Rip and Backs fight Fuuko and Andy, Fuuko tries to convince the Under members to work together. However, Rip explains that all the Under members have various end goals, with his and Latla being to ride the Ark and save Leila, who they killed with their Negation abilities awakening, even when Akira tells him it neither of them can ride the Ark. However, they are interrupted by Latla, who informs the group that Autumn is approaching their location due to the book Andy was. Everyone is force into a temporary truce to fight the UMA, which eventually achives it's second phase. To win, Akira uses the G-Liner to temporarily create Life is Strange and age up Rip to empower Unrepair. However, this not only ages Akira by 150 years, but also destroys the G-Liner, destroying Anno and Akira's only way of communicating with the outside world. Working together, they are able to defeat Autumn and capture its core. Andy thanks Akira for helping them get this far.
