Backs, also known as Bunny, is a member of Under, and appears to be a young child who wears a large bunny costume at all times.
Appearance
Backs is a very short, young girl. She wears an oversized, egg-shaped pink bunny costume she cannot exit due to her negation. She has blue hair.
Personality
Backs has a very childish attitude. She likes to be called Bunny by others since she thinks it's cuter. Backs is surprisingly polite, apologizing for stealing Fuuko's gun after the battle of Autumn as they return it to her, Backs also seems to have an infectious personality, since Fuuko starts using her catchphrase ''agoo'' with her.
Plot
Unrepair Arc
Backs helped Feng when they fought against Top and Chikara in China.
Autumn Arc
She comes with various members of Under when they went after Anno Un to learn about the future in Autumn's territory. As the fight rages on with Anno, Andy transforms back into a human after temporarily becoming a book. He then uses a slash attack on the entire room nearly cutting Backs in half, but she ducks just in time to dodge.
After Andy, Fuuko and Anno regain their bearings she along with Rip jump at the three and Rip orders her to take Fuuko. Backs gets annoyed at him calling her Backs but still attacks anyway. She expresses interest in Fuuko's gun and wants to take it from her. Fuuko realizes that due to Backs being a negator that she shouldn't hold back but, she overestimated her strength as it sends Backs flying. After she lands she starts crying due to how hard Fuuko hit her but realized that she managed to steal Fuuko's gun in the process, much to her shock. Backs then assimilates the gun into an egg, however, as she celebrates this a piece of the roof caves in under her and she falls. As the group on the roof talks to Rip, Latla radios him, not wanting him to take all of the spotlight. Backs is excited by her arrival as she climbs back onto the roof.
Autumn then charges at the roof but she uses her ears to wrap around Rip escaping the collision. Backs then jumps onto Latla's broom so that Rip can attack Autumn. As the fight draws on for a while, Anno makes a sure fire way to take down Autumn which Rip checks the truthfulness of with Latla. She says that it is but, Backs says that all of her predictions aren't right so it mustn't be a lie. Latla then tells Backs to shut up. Rip then says to pick up the scraps of this fight after Andy and Fuuko are done with it, but both her and Latla find it boring. Anno then transforms Rip back to his normal self with Life is Strange as she looks on with joy. This joy does not last long as she sees the consequences of using that artifact in such a major way, as she looks on in sadness as Anno fades away.
After this she asks Latla why he isn't happy even though he's back to normal. She tells Backs that Rip needs to be the villain so that he can achieve his goal of seeing Leila again. Rip then orders Backs to retrieve Autumn's core when its time, to which she obliges. Backs watches the battle unfold until the core of Autumn opens up, where she, Latla and Fuuko rush in with the Broom to the core. The core temporarily gets covered again but Andy shoots his Unluck Bullet at the core, allowing Backs to swoop it up. She then celebrates after turning the core into an egg. As Fuuko talks to Rip after the battle, Backs asks Latla if she can give Autumn and Fuuko's gun to them which she agrees to. Backs apologies to Fuuko for stealing her gun and waves goodbye to Fuuko as he flies away with Latla and Rip.
Spring Arc
During the raid on Spring, all Union members pair off to fight specific Under members according to Andy and Juiz's matchups. Backs, Latla and Rip battle Shen, Mui and Tatiana.
Ragnarok Arc
After Sun manifests on Earth, she and Enjin arrive through one of Move's portals. Protected by Unburn she manages to get close enough to encase Sun in an Unback shell, stopping it from moving. She celebrates capturing it, but then screams in pain. As she is connected to the shell the heat radiating from Sun, which is not combustion and therefore not affected by Unburn, causes her to die in agonizing pain as she's cooked alive. This dispels the shell and releases Sun.
Unburn Arc
She is shown by Andy's Soul Bullets pointing towards her as well as Kurusu, Top, Tatiana, and Julia following his attack on Change to allow the Union to escape. She is shown sleeping peacefully as various dolls surround her room.
Language Arc
After Language's defeat, Ichico states that she will head to Backs' location, confident her Astral Projection will allow her to mitigate the tragedy.
Abilities
Unback: The finer details are unknown, but this ability seems to turn or trap objects into eggs, making them incapable of backing out from them, examples being with Fuuko's gun and Autumn's core. Anything Backs traps with Unback also seems to share a connection with her, as when Sun's avatar was trapped by her power, the heat they expelled from their body managed to affect Backs too, causing her to cook alive.
Equipment
Pikilienta Pohles: An egg-shaped bunny costume. Backs is unable to exit it and thus wears it at all times.
