Blade Runner (
Overview[]
Blade Runner is a pair of metal prosthetic legs. The legs are styled similarly to medieval full plate armor, with interlocking plates and a filigree design around the edges. To use them, the user must implant them in place of their original legs. After being installed, they will change size to match the user's size, as seen when Rip was affected by Life is Strange but his legs remained proportional.
Blade Runner's ability is to create large semi-circular metal blades when the user kicks with the artifact, which then shoot forward toward a target. The size and speed of the blade depends on the arc and strength of the kick. There appears to be no limit to the number of blades that can be created at once. The artifact can also the used as rocket thrusters to fly.
During Rip's clash with Seal, he has gained enough mastery with the Artifact to make the blades come back like boomerangs.
In the 101st Loop during the battle against Sick, Latla and Rip installed one leg each, able to use the artifact together.
Plot[]
History[]
At some point Under acquired the artifact - later it was offered to Rip by Tella[1].
Unrepair Arc[]
During his fight with Andy, Fuuko, Chikara and Tatiana, Rip uses Blade Runner to attack from a distance to stay away from attacks.
Later, while they wait for Chikara's answer, Andy and Fuuko are approached by Rip, now de-aged 15 years to save his life. He still has Blade Runner attached and it has shrunk to remain proportional.
Autumn Arc[]
Rip uses Blade Runner to attack Anno Un, taking his arm. Later, he tries to attack Autumn but due to still being a child the blades lack the power to even leave a scratch. Anno uses the G-Liner to re-age Rip, thus strengthening his attacks.
Spring Arc[]
Rip uses Blade Runner while fighting the Union and later to indirectly attack Spring.
Ragnarok Arc[]
They are used by Rip to save Lucy from Ruin and free Andy from Seal, and later destroyed by Andy after they fight each other.
Union Arc[]
Blade Runner's location is offered as the reward for the neutralization of UMA Stop, but Fuuko skips that set.
Sick Arc[]
The artifact is split between Latla and Rip in the 101st loop so they can fight together.
Trivia[]
- Blade Runner's name is a reference to the movie series Blade Runner.
