Change (チェンジ, Chenji^?) is the Phenomenon-Type UMA that embodies the phenomenon of change. She is also known as the "Third Master Rule UMA".

Appearance

She appears as a well built lady with hair (purple on the right and pink on the left) that resembles DNA strands. Her eyes have verticals pupils. She wears a seductive outfit and is seen holding a fan. She is often seen wearing an aggressive, furious face complete with bulging veins.

When she reaches Phase 3 following her fight with Gina, the strands that make up her hair wrap around her body and become larger, distorted, and less defined.

Personality

Change, like the rest of the Master Rules, hates humans and enjoys seeing them suffer. Compared to the other Superior Rules, she is particularly aggressive, both with her allies and her enemies. She herself is particularly violent and smiles sadistically when she cuts off Gina's arm.

She is also very proud of the rule she embodies, first scolding Soul for not believing in her rule and then telling Gina that there are no rules she cannot change.

Plot

Like all other UMAs, Change was created by God at the beginning of the loops, when he began adding rules to the newly created world to test humans. Change in particular was added to "instill jealousy" and emphasizing the individual.

Sick Arc

When Fuuko uses Move's portal to reach the Master Room, she looks at her with disdain and insults Soul for speaking to her.

Unburn Arc

When the Union lands on the Sun using Unburn to reach Andy, she tries to kill them by liquefying their spacesuits. When Gina uses Unchange to keep them safe, the UMA realizes she is her "vessel", revealing herself as the UMA of Change. The Union manages to escape thanks to Andy using a "Soul Boost" Finger Bullets to distract her long enough, and she is unable to follow them due to the seal Andy still has on her. She frustratingly asks why a "lousy vessel of Death" keeps defying them and that he should just follow her rule.

Undead Unluck Arc

Following Andy's return to the Union, the seal on the Master Room breaks and Change descends to Earth along with the other Superior Rules. As the final Ragnarok begins and the Superior Rules join Sun in the final battle against the Negators, Gina joins Change in her sphere, engaging her in combat. The two fight furiously, and although Change manages to cut off Gina's arm, her opponent manages to cut her in half, with Change consequently entering her Phase 3.

Abilities

• Change Inducement: Based on the Master Rule she embodies, Change can change the state of anything. She demonstrated this for the first time in the 101st loop by liquifying the suits of the team of Negators who went to look for Andy on the sun. This ability can also be directly offensive, with Change manipulating the surrounding environment to create tentacles that attack his opponent.
  • Physical-Biological Change: An ability suggested by Change herself when she said she would change Gina "into a more attractive woman." It was, however, never shown as she was interrupted by Andy before using it.

• Shapeshifting: Change can transform her arm into a blade to attack with. She can also manipulate the length and size of her arm and the blade.

• Regeneration: Due to her Master Rule status, Change possesses high regeneration; when a part is severed, strings of DNA will extend from her body, reuniting the parts that are severed (such as when she is cut in half by Gina).
  • Change Empowerment: Change can "change into power" any opponent's attack, converting any damage dealt to her into strenght that she can harness; after taking enough damage, Change can build up enough power to enter Phase 3.
