Undead Unluck Wiki

Undead and Unluck (不死と不運 (アンデッド アンラック) Andeddo Anrakku?) is the 1st chapter of Yoshifumi Tozuka's Undead Unluck.

Summary[]

Fuuko Izumo is tired of her life and decides to kill herself by jumping from a bridge. People try to stop her, but she warns them that if they touch her, they will contract a deadly disease. A man then approaches her, stabs himself with the knife she was holding, and grabs her face. As he wonders what will happen next, Fuuko tells him her Unluck is coming. In that moment, a chunk from the bridge brakes, & he falls and gets hit by a train. The man then regenerates, and he tells her he now understands that the "disease" she mentioned was just to keep people away.

Fuuko gets scared and tries to run, thinking he is a zombie, but he tells her that he is Undead. He takes her to a building rooftop, where he prevents her from running, and then makes her explain her "Unluck". Fuuko explains that it started when she was 8 years old. After hugging her parents, the plane they got on exploded. The man decides to test it again and hugs her, triggering her Unluck and getting hit by a crate full of bananas. Fuuko uses the opportunity to try and escape, but slips on a banana and falls of the roof. The man rushes to catch her before she hits the ground, he tells her he won't let her die until he experience a real death. He then heads towards his hideout, wanting to experiment with her ability and find a stroke of Unluck big enough to negate his Undead and kill him.

Fuuko tries to find a chance to run, but her jacket gets caught on debris, and it is revealed that she has long hair. Feeling embarrassed, she starts to cry, explaining that no one could cut her hair because of her Unluck. The man then decides to cut her hair, but as he finishes, his head gets cut off by another man in a suit, who places it in a special capsule to prevent him from regenerating. The man in the suit then explains it is their job to police any unselected Negators or UMAs. He comments how fearsome Fuuko's "Unluck" is. As he arrests her, he tells her they will try to utilize her power to kill their targets. The same thing the "Undead" would have used her for. But Fuuko explains Undead only wanted her for killing himself, and he touched her without any fear. As she thank him for cutting her hair, her unluck comes as a lighting bolt hitting Undead's head in the capsule, managing to free him. The Undead regenerates and removes the plate on the head, regaining some of his past memories, and in an instant kills all of the suited men, except the one holding Fuuko. Then he puts the plate back in his head. The man in the suit demands that he cut off his head without regenerating, or else he will cut off Fuuko's. She tries to tell him to forget about her, but the Undead ignores her and throws his head towards them. Fuuko pushes the man and goes and kiss the Undead on the cheek. The Undead figures what's going on and regenerates while holding the man, as Fuuko runs away. As she manage to get out of the building, a meteorite strikes, completely demolishing it. The Undead then comes out from the debris and thanks her for the assist. Fuuko introduces herself, but as the Undead has no memories of his name, she decides to name him Andy. As he looks at the collapsed building, he wonders what will happen if they bang, but hearing that Fuuko starts running away.
