Chikara Shigeno (重野 力 Chikara Shigeno?) was member No. 11 of the Round Table. He is a Negator with the alias Unmove.
He currently seats at the 12th seat of the 101st round table.
He lived in Japan before becoming a member.
Appearance[]
Chikara wears a schoolboy uniform. He has a long fringe that usually covers one eye so as not to activate Unmove. On the wrist of his right arm, he wears a bracelet featuring two dice, which doubles as a hair band for when he wants to use his power.
After joining the Union, he wears the emblem and tie along with the special goggles Nico Vorgeil made for him.
Personality[]
Chikara is noted to be easily scared and anxious. He doesn't like violence and freaks out when he sees blood or weapons. However, when pushed, he shows courage and strength to face his fears and protect those close to him. Later, he becomes braver and more determined, even willing to risk his life without hesitation.
Plot[]
History[]
Chikara was a student in Japan, living a peaceful life. One day, when going home from the store with his parents, he crossed the street before them and looked back to wait for them - at that moment he awakened Unmove, causing them to freeze in the middle of the street, right in the path of an oncoming truck whose driver was asleep at the wheel. As soon as the truck came into his field of view, Chikara tried to reach for his parents, accidentally deactivating Unmove and causing the truck to hit them. His father died instantly while his mother was severely injured and died a week later. When he figured out he had an ability and thus it was his fault his parents died, he became severely guilt-ridden, only vowing to live to honor his mother's last wish.
Unrepair Arc[]
Due to the language unification, Chikara's status as a Negator was discovered, since he could only speak Japanese. He was kidnapped from his school by the Mafia to be part of a black auction. He is targeted by both Under and the Union - Under want to either recruit or kill him, whereas the Union wants to save him. During the commotion caused by Andy and Fuuko, he manages to swipe a guard's keys to his cage and tries to escape but is discovered as soon as he steps outside.
He uses his ability to hold the guard in place, but since he also can't move while using it he can't actually escape. His legs shake from fear, breaking the condition but before the guard can shoot him Rip kills the guard. Rip wants to ask Chikara about his ability but none of them speak Japanese, so Creed instead brings out his minigun to test Chikara - Latla is slightly hesitant about killing him despite his powerful ability, but Rip assured her that they'll simply find the next Unmove after the ability transfers.
Chikara is shaking to much to use his power and is about to be shot but Andy covers him as Fuuko puts a Union necktie on him so they can communicate. Tatiana takes Feng and Creed to a different deck so Andy and Fuuko can handle Rip and Latla. Rip throws a scalpel at Chikara, which Fuuko takes for him - despite the small cut, Rip's ability will cause her to bleed out in less than an hour. Chikara steels his resolve at this, using his power to stop a hail of bullets enough for Andy to take everyone out of their trajectory. When Tatiana uses Area Release and destroys the ship, Chikara rides on Andy's back alongside Fuuko and ultimately manages to hold Rip in place to allow Andy to land a Crimson Bullet, killing him. Under escapes using Kain - Fuuko makes everyone agree to keep Chikara's existence a secret for a week to give him the choice of joining the Union.
A week later, at his school, Chikara overhears Andy's proclamation to Rip about killing God, which scared Chikara but ultimately he choose to talk with them. He explains how he killed his parents with his ability but still wants to help people, deciding to join the Union, even asking them to use Nico's Memory Modification Satellite to wipe all memories of him so no one, particularly Ryo, will look for him.
Unbelievable Arc[]
Chikara, now the 11th Seat at the Roundtable, is present when the Four Season's Quests are revealed - but when Billy attacks everyone and reveals himself to be with Under as Burn takes the Roundtable, he leaves the room since he can't use his power in his current state of terror.
Later, after Under leaves, he is present at Stonehenge when Juiz reveals the nature of the Loops, which he finds overwhelming but still is resolved to defeat God.
Summer Arc[]
After Summer enters Phase 2, Chikara arrives being carried by Top. With his new Unmove Goggles, he can restrain Summer without immobilizing his allies; with Andy's coordination, he holds Summer in place so Tatiana can kill it.
After Fuuko leaves with Under so that the kill Winter before the world freezes over, he and Top dedicate themselves to train together to grow stronger.
Spring Arc[]
During the raid on Spring, Chikara and Top are matched against Creed, who will be standing guard in the basement of Tokyo Tower. Though they have the initial advantage, Creed's Anti-Unmove Equipment and tactical skill allow him to capture and blind Chikara, as well as injure his leg to take away Unmove, knowing that Top can't just dodge forever. Top leaves the basement and Creed goes to finish Chikara, claiming that Top has abandoned him but gets stopped by Unmove; Chikara claims that they will both wait there until Top reaches the speed of light. Helped by the Tachyonizer, Top manages to destroy all of Creed's weapons and knock him out.
Ragnarok Arc[]
Chikara continues to train in the month leading up to Ragnarok after Andy leaves to search for Fuuko, Ghost and Ruin. He is one of the members tasked with the capture of various UMAs to delay Ragnarok, show to be in a team with Tatiana and Phil looking to capture Snow.
During the assault on Union HQ, Billy tells him he has killed Tatiana so he can copy Unmove using Unfair.
Later, when Sun manifests on Earth, he is on the front-line to hold him in place while Ark charges but is immediately targeted and gets his arm torn off by Sun's Solar Pustules. Even so, he tries to hold Sun with Unmove despite his state. As Fuuko is about to loop, Chikara throws himself to his death down the Union HQ central tunnel to hold Sun off for a few seconds. Ultimately, Fuuko loops successfully and everyone on Earth is killed, bringing the 100th Loop to a close.
Unmove Arc[]
In the 101st Loop, Fuuko sets out to prevent all the tragedies of the negators shes met - but when it comes time for Chikara's, the circumstances that lead to it could happen at any time and as such the Union infiltrates his school to keep watch over him at all times. Chikara ends up befriending Fuuko and Gina, who help him get his resolve to follow his dream of being a photographer. When he reveals this to his parents, they fully support him just as Unmove manifests in the middle of the street as it did before, but Fuuko and Gina, both made invisible by Unseen, stop the truck and save his family.
Later at graduation, Chikara realized none of the Union staff are there and have actually modified everyone's memories. He leaves the ceremony looking for them and Sean tells him Fuuko doesn't want him to abandon his life to join the Union as they are currently fighting Colour. He holds the UMA in place long enough to Fuuko to capture her core and ultimately joins the Union, bringing his parents too.
Sick Arc[]
Chikara is present at the Hospital where Sick is currently attacking and works alongside Gina and Void to restrain him, but Sick learns to peel off his skin to avoid Unmove and his Juniors short out the lights to blind him. When Andy arrives, he makes Chikara use Unmove so he can finish Sick, but he escapes due to Move's interference.

Equipment[]
Unmove Goggles: Specially made by Nico, these goggles black out everything in Chikara's vision except a target's silhouette, thus allowing him to hold them with Unmove while others may enter his field of vision to capitalize on the advantage, removing one of his negation's main weaknesses.
Psycho-Pod: Chikara has learned to manipulate a Psycho-Pod so he can reposition while using Unmove, since being moved by others does not break the condition.
Unmove Camera: A camera gifted to Chikara by his parents and later modified by Nico in the 101st Loop. Through technology similar to the Psycho-Pods, the camera can be completely locked in place to allow a more focused use of Unmove. It also takes pictures, as per its original function.
Etymology[]
- The name Chikara means "force, power, strength, ability, energy, emphasis, stress, capability, might, assistance, vigor, means, support, courage, faculty, effectiveness, exertions, agency, endeavors, efficacy, attainment, nerve, good offices, resources, authority" (力).
- Chikara's surname Shigeno means "layers/multilayered, folds" (重) (shige) and "field, wilderness" (野) (no).
