Leila Mirah (ライラ＝ミラー Raira Mirā?) is a girl with an undisclosed heart disease. She is the younger sister of Latla and the fiancé of Rip.
Appearance[]
Leila is a young woman. She wear her hair in a style similar to her sister, though somewhat less kept. She wears elongated, hollow glass earrings - later worn by Rip. She is seen mostly wearing warm clothing and a plaid scarf. Due to her condition, she requires a wheelchair most of the time.
Personality[]
While a sweet and caring person in contrast with the more aggressive Latla, she is also something of a fatalist, believing that she was destined to die despite her sister and fiancé's best efforts in preventing it.
Plot[]
History[]
Since a young age, she and her sister were good friends with Rip Tristan. Leila's condition was serious and this motivated Rip to become a doctor in order to heal her. Both sisters have feelings for Rip, as does he for them, but Latla decides the Leila and Rip should be together and that shes happy by herself just helping. Eventually, Rip proposed to her and she accepted before her surgery. Latla had become a fortuneteller by then and predicted the surgery's success as Rip began the procedure. However in that moment they awakened Untrust and Unrepair respectively, guaranteeing the failure of the operation given that the injury could not be stitched up or stopped from bleeding - killing her. Rip and Latla both become racked with guilt, convinced that they killed her and become disillusioned with the world, ultimately joining Under to use Ark and get a "do over" to save her.
Autumn Arc[]
After Sean is killed by Andy and Backs is incapacitated by Fuuko, Rip gets ready to attack again but Anno Un tells him that neither he nor Latla can ride Ark - furthermore, the path he is on will only lead to Latla's death. Rip does not believe it and is sure he can save them both - Latla says that she is also willing to make any sacrifice to save her sister. After defeating Autumn, Fuuko says that whoever he is trying to save must be very important, to which he responds that "[she's] my everything"
Ragnarok Arc[]
At Ruin's castle, Rip and Latla battle Andy, now knowing they need his points to ride Ark. They manage to incapacitate him through Latla's sacrifice to land a hit on Andy's brain, but through Victor's techniques, Andy lethally wounds Rip - he apologizes to them and promises all three of them will be saved in the next Loop. Rip and Latla die side by side, thinking of Leila.
Sick Arc[]
After skipping another 16 years, Fuuko convenes with Latla to save Leila. On the date Rip proposes, her condition, along with that of all the patients, get suddenly and dramatically worse. Fuuko arrives and explains the situation: they're under attack by Sick. Latla takes Rip and Leila to see the sea, worried they might not survive - they quickly come back as Sick manifests and begins battling the Union. Just before he begins to operate on Leila, Fuuko stops him because he has manifested Unrepair and says that she will do the procedure. Rip and Latla each install one leg of Blade Runner and join the fight, even causing the artifact to evolve. Gina protects Fuuko and Leila during the procedure, which ends up being successful after Sick's defeat.
Later, at Rip and Leila's wedding and with the help of the Union, Latla is put in a wedding dress to and dragged to the ceremony. She is initially incensed that Rip would do such a thing, claiming she is fine as long as they are happy - but Rip proclaims they do not need to be bound by any rules and vows to marry both of them, which they accept.
Unburn Arc[]
Following her successful operation, she joins the Union with Rip and Latla, and accompanies the team trying to recruit Enjin, being one of the customers between the two parties during the cooking duel.
Unjustice Arc[]
Leila is seen in the Roundtable Room while the next Quest set is being declared.
