The Ragnarok Arc is the tenth arc of the Undead Unluck manga series, and last arc of the 100 Loop Saga. It deals with Andy's quest to save Fuuko following her assassination at the hands mysterious Negator "Ruin", with the world entering Ragnarok in the aftermath of the Four UMA Seasons quests.

Synopsis[]

Unruinable Dream[]

Shortly after Spring's defeat, Andy realizes that the reason Unluck hasn't killed him yet is because he yet to truly fall in love with Fuuko. As such, he prepares to take her around the world so they can fall deeper in love. Just then, from Fuuko's shadow, a vampiric Negator known as "Ruin" suddenly stabs her through the heart with his hand, stating that only himself and Undead are capable of traversing the Loops. Andy tries to kill Ruin, but he regenerates and flees, all while mocking the Union. With Fuuko slowly dying, Billy allows Juiz, Andy and Fuuko into Under's base. On the Roundtable, Juiz suddenly makes a deal with an entity known as "Luna" by transferring all her points to the latter two in exchange for them to skip a week of time so that the new Rule, Ghost, can be added. The entity agrees, and with the new rule added, Fuuko's death causes her soul to come out of her body.

However, she is quickly snatched up by the UMA before leaving the area, having been lured to Ruin by way of mass slaughter so that Ruin can have Ghost eat Fuuko's soul. Just then, the world suddenly starts to move closer to the Sun, despite Revolution not being added. As revealed by Apocalypse, the death of three of the four Season UMAs have thrown the world off balance, creating a similar effect. As such, in three months time, the world will be swallowed by the sun, thus starting the final Quest, Ragnarok.

Ragnarok & Regulators[]

Andy decides to leave the Union to get Fuuko back alone, seeing Ruin would attack anyone else just like he did with Fuuko while Union and Under work together to keep the world stable. Andy's search for Fuuko brings him to a small village where UMAs are gathering, protecting a negator named Lucy from a Junior. As Andy kills the UMAs between him, Lucy and the castle Ruin is located in, Sun becomes furious and adds a new penalty, an UMA known as Seal, to deal with him. Seal's ability to use multiple UMA abilities at once by sealing them overpowers Andy, but when Lucy gets in the way trying to help him, Seal absorbs her as well, only to catch a cold. Realizing a weakness, Andy then willingly jumps into Seal. Confused but undeterred, Seal then moves to the castle, where they meet Ruin in the middle of killing a man, dubbing him "King of Negators".

As Seal and Ruin discuses playing their roles as "Regulators" and ushering in God, Lucy helps Andy and the UMAs break out of Seal by using astral projection. However, Seal easily reigns back the UMAs and pins Andy down. When Andy demands to know where Fuuko and Ghost are, Ruin reveals they aren't with him, but instead at the Union base, making "friends" with Nico by promising the return of his dead wife, Ichico. When Ruin prepares to attack Lucy when the young girl asks if he has a mother and father, she is saved by Rip. After freeing Andy and Lucy from Seal, the pairs prepare to fight one another when the world begins to shake. Andy is then contacted by the Union, being told by Mui that Nico has betrayed everyone and killed all the UMAs holding back Ragnarok. As Ruin and Seal than take leave to the Union base to usher God there, Andy tries to follow them, only to be attacked by Rip. Rip then reveals he still wants to ride the Ark, and attacks Andy.

Unrepairable Fate[]

As Rip and Andy battle, the surgeon's past is revealed; once a rich kid who played with Latla and her sickly younger sister Liela, who would die in ten years due to a heart disease. Rip promised to save her, devoting his life to becoming a skilled enough doctor while Latla would become a nation famous fortune teller to save her sister spiritually. However, on the day of the surgery, Rip and Latla's Negator abilities awoken, causing Liela to die. When Rip tried to take his life afterwards but was stopped by Latla, his scar wouldn't stop bleeding. Eventually learning about negators and the Ark, they decided to do whatever they could to go back in time and save Leila, not caring about the fate of the world.

In the present, Rip reveals that the Roundtable is the Ark, which is why he fights Andy for the points his other self has to ride it. Andy manages to overpower Rip, but just at the last second, is saved by Latla, who slaps and admonishs him for always doing things by himself, before begs Rip to let herself risk her life. She then grabs onto Andy and using her negator power, has Rip strike Andy so that it doesn't miss, fatally wounding her as well. In Andy's subconscious, Victor speaks to Andy, and asks why he isn't fighting. Andy admits that his love for Fuuko, who is turn wants to be friends with all of the other Negators, is what keeps him from truly going all out against the pair's "justice" of saving Leila. Victor tells Andy to have Fuuko ride the Ark, so that the two keys in slaying God, Undead and Unluck, can rebuild the Union and prevent the tragedies of the current loop due from happening. Andy ultimately agrees to this plan, and Victor lends Andy his power, effortlessly defeating Rip. As Rip lays defeated and dying, Latla tells Andy the date of the two's awakening and Liela's death, begging him to save her. After agreeing, he then leaves Rip, Latla, and Lucy to rush back to the Union base, with Rip asking to be a part of the Union next time.

Unforgettable Experience[]

Andy makes it back to Union, in flames and under siege thanks to Ruin, Seal, and Nico, Tatiana fights the two Regulators as Andy reaches a dying Bow with an unconscious Mico, begging to save her before dying. As he rushes down the Union base looking for Nico, he is contacted by the turncoat, telling him where he is. Entering Nico's laboratory, he explains that he is obsessed with seeing his wife again, and as they fight, he reveals his status as "Unforgettable" makes him slowly lose any memories of his wife before awakening his negator ability, causing him to forget everything before that. He then merges with Ghost to empower his "Astral Dolls" further, but Andy defeats Nico by destroying his lab, which contains the last of pleasant memories of her before his awakening, and breaking his will.

However, this allows Ghost to take possession of Nico and achieve Phase 2. When Andy tries to use astral projection to beat them, they have Fuuko against their core to protect themselves. However, this act enrages Nico and wrestles back control of his body to move Fuuko's soul out of the way, allowing Andy to kill both of them. With Fuuko freed, and with Mico's help, Fuuko is successfully revived while Ghost is held down by the science team's ghosts including Ichico, who share one last talk with Nico about their daughter before he passes on. A crying Fuuko reveals that even as a ghost, she saw everything that happened while Andy was trying to save her, and wonders if she can really lead the next Union.

Just Be Unfair[]

Just then, Tatiana appears, being knocked back thanks to Ruin, and tells her to go on ahead. Seal then leaves to cause trouble elsewhere with Phil after them, while Ruin manages to overpower Tatiana, Andy, and Fuuko before trapping Tatiana in a sphere of blood and about ready to kill her, but Billy suddenly appears to save her by using another copied Negator ability. As he and Ruin fight, he loses his arm, which don't regenerate, and its revealed he's lost Unmove, Unstoppable, and Undead. However, using his Union emblem, he contacts Top and Chikara, lying to both of them that he allowed Ruin to kill Fuuko and he killed Tatiana respectively. He then reveals his true negator ability, "Unfair", allows him to replicate other Negators' abilities, so long as they see him as a threat. This is the reason he betrayed the Union and former Under, so that he could copy everyone's abilities and fight God, seeing them as too young and deserving better.

After trapping Ruin, Blood, and Shadow with his abilities, Billy realizes that he never stood a chance at really copying Andy or Fuuko's abilities, as they were good people all along. However, when Ruin mocks the Negators' struggles as futile, he in turn mocks the vampire, stating that his "Unruin" is a weaker version of Undead that cannot actually survive the loops, because the Juiz should have been at least aware he existed before now. He then calls him an "imperfect reject" that allows him to copy Unruin and regenerate, much to Ruin's anger. Billy and Tatiana stay behind to hold back an infuriated Ruin while Fuuko and Andy head to the Roundtable.

Remember the Truth[]

Andy and Fuuko reach Juiz, she explains the mechanics behind looping to the two of them before revealing that looping makes them functionally immortal. When she asks what Fuuko's "vision of justice" is, Fuuko reveals her wish to have a world free of God and where she and everyone else can be allowed to live in peace. While she cries over not being able to be with everyone else, Juiz reveals a way to make it happen; an Artifact called "Remember", which can allow negators to reclaim memories of their lives in past loops, and turns out to be what keeps Victor sealed away. Juiz then explains that early on in the 100th loop, when trying the artifact in Longing, Nevada, to gather Union members, Victor finally broke and tried to kill her so she could live out the last loops free of the burden. Juiz's Unjustice allowed her to use Remember on Victor, resetting his memories, which lead to the creation of Andy by Undead trying to subvert Remember's function. Andy proceeds to draw his sword on Juiz, explaining the terror that being Undead brought and jaded him, seeing his friends die and being left all alone, turning to suicide just to feel alive. However, it also allowed him to meet Fuuko and accept himself as "Andy the Undead", thanking both Juiz and Victor for creating him. Fuuko takes the first set, becoming the new leader of the Union and prepares to loop, but Apocalypse shows up and explains that she needs more "points" to be able to do so. Victor temporally takes control of Andy to ask Luna in transferring all his points to her. Apocalypse then explains that due to 11 seats being added to the Ark, Fuuko must wait 11 minutes before looping.

Sun and the 100th End[]

Juiz and Andy then take off to partake in the upcoming fight against God and their regulators, but not before Andy gives Fuuko one last hug to fuel up on Unluck. Now alone, Luna appears before Fuuko as God manifests on Earth, revealing to be the Sun itself. Luna reveals that the whole nature of the loops and UMAs are a game, whether humanity could reach the Gods or not, with Luna supporting humanity and creating Artifacts while Sun supports the rules and created the UMAs. The Union give it their all in fighting Sun, but are utterly overpowered despite everyone's best efforts. Even Victor can't do much when Andy swaps out to allow the original Undead to be with Juiz in her final moments. Eventually, Victor gives Juiz Rebellion to hold back Sun, sacrificing herself in the progress. A heartbroken Victor then allows Rebellion to possess him, fueled by loss and rage and holds back Sun with everyone else's help as the charging finally ends, with Fuuko thanking everyone before leaving.

As the world ends, Akira narrates the world's last moment as the surviving Negators gather on the Roundtable, witnessing despair in the form of multiple Suns manifesting before them, with only Victor having the courage to fight. As Akira tearfully draws Victor, he wishes that Fuuko will tell him a new story, one which everyone wins, as the 100th Earth is destroyed, to Fuuko's despair. After Luna makes a passing comment about Andy suffering in space as the world prepares for the next loop only to be placed back on Earth once formed, Fuuko gives the God a look of contempt and determination, stating she'll take everyone's sacrifice to negate the Gods before going back to Earth, with Luna looking forward to it. In the September 11, 1972 of the 101st, a young Akira walks home singing about Jump before noticing the G-Liner Artifact and prepares to touch it, before being stopped by Fuuko, who prepares to explains to the child everything that happened when they met in the last loop.
