Raita Izumo (出雲 雷太, Izumo Raita^?) is the father of Fuuko Izumo.

Appearance

Raita is a tall japanese man, he wears large glasses and hard light brown hair. He also has stubble.

Personality

Raita is quiet and somewhat reserved, but is very dedicated to Kaede - even though he feel unworthy of her. He is shown to have been a good father and husband in the 100th Loop.

In the 101th Loop, he is shown to smoke when nervous.

Plot

History

During one of Kaede's idol performances Raita became a big fan of her; later, they got married. Together they hand one daughter: Fuuko Izumo. They were a happy family. On 2010, as she and her husband were boarding a plane to go on a trip, they both hugged and kissed their daughter goodbye - unbeknownst to them Fuuko had just become Unluck, leading to a meteor striking the plane after they boarded, killing everyone on board. The guilt over this event lead to Fuuko becoming suicidal.

Intro Arc

After To You, From Me ends, Fuuko is finally ready to end her life, hoping to keep others safe from her ability - when Andy interrogates her as to why, she mentions killing her parents as her greatest guilt.

Autumn Arc

While inside Andy's book, Fuuko mentions how keeping the memory of her parents alive means they're not truly dead, inspiring Andy.

Ragnarok Arc

Fuuko mentions her parents as one of the things she hopes are better in the next Loop.

Unchaste Arc

In the 101st Loop Raita was born much later; despite it being 2020 he and Kaede aren't even dating. Raita is at the cafe where Kaede works. As she goes to greet him, Kaede falls over and drops a tray of drinks, but Raita expertly deflects the water and catches her, though he still fails to catch on plate that hits him on the head. He is saddened when Kaede states that everyone on her band has had to pull out due to injuries and sickness.

Later, he goes to visit Kaede to apologize for missing that day's performance, but just then Kaede comes back from Union HQ, startling Raita with her exhausted appearance. While Kaede's new group is performing at the Idol Festival, Raita stays at his apartment smoking so much Fuuko and Sean mistake it for a house fire. When Fuuko bluntly asks him if he likes Kaede, he is baffled that hes apparently so obvious about it, but states hes resigned to never getting together since he expects her to become famous and meet someone better than him. Fuuko expresses her disappointment in him, saying that Kaede is also in love with him and that he shouldn't run away.
