Seal (シール Shīru) is the UMA that embodies the act of sealing.
A known Regulator that declares himself the King of UMAs.
Appearance[]
Seal appears to be a humanoid wrapped in scrolls. His eyes have spiral pupils with black sclera. His hair is composed of flat scroll paper that covers his right eye, cut in a style similar to a bobcut. His "clothes" are also made of paper, several with black stains and symbols. When using his ability, new scrolls appear on his chest bearing the name of the captured UMA or the Negator's negation.
Personality[]
Seal believes himself to be beloved by God, becoming enraged when Andy calls him "Just another UMA" even forcing him to apologize or when he and Lucy break out of his sealing through astral projection. He wishes to be the King of UMAs. He also has a sadistic side, taking joy in beating a downed Andy. Ruin labels him a "highly intelligent realist", expressing surprise at Seal's quick understanding of souls.
Plot[]
Ragnarok Arc[]
As Andy mows down the UMAs in his way to reach for Ruin, Luna states as a consequence of this Seal will be added to the world to punish Andy as a Regulator. He makes his presence known after arriving by belittling the UMAs that mock him, calling them failures for being unable to defeat Undead before using his powers to seal up as many UMAs that were left in Andy's rampage before turning his attention to Andy and Lucy, stating his intent to seal Andy. He ends up sealing away Lucy too, but when this makes him sneeze, this gives Andy the idea to allow himself to be sealed up, much to Seal's confusion.
He then makes his way to Ruin's castle and calls the vampiric negator "the King of Negators". As Ruin explains their purpose of preparing the Earth for God's arrival, Seal goes into a sneezing fit thanks to Lucy's astral projection forcing him to use Unhealthy. When Seal explains his victory over Andy, Ruin warns him not to underestimate Andy. As soon as this happens, Andy, Lucy, and and the UMAs Sealed had imprisoned use astral projection to break out. While Seal is able to contain the UMAs, Rip's appearance allows for Andy and Lucy to be freed. However, thanks to Ruin's gambit with Ghost and Nico, Ragnarok is hastened, and Seal follows Ruin the Union base so they can allow God to manifest there.
While in the Union base, Seal and Ruin attempt to destroy the last gate leading to the Roundtable, ie the Ark and prevent another loop. However, when Ghost is defeated and Fuuko is revived, Seal leaves as Phil follows him. At some point in the battle, he captures Move and uses his power to chase after Top and Isshin, wounding them. Feng is able to defeat him, however, impaling him with the Zuishin-Tekkan Rod and freeing Move, although the damage done to Isshin is enough to cause the Unbreakable gate to fall.
Powers & Abilities[]
Seal: Seal has the ability to trap UMA and humans, inside of his scrolls which completely bind and compress the target - effectively sealing them. Seal has the power to use the abilities of whoever he seals. The abilities he has shown to use are Cloud, Jewel, Splash, Bomb, Move, Colour, and Tell. Seal has also unintentionally used Lucy's Unhealthy. Since he also captured Andy he could theoretically use Undead, but never got a chance to do so.
- Internal Dimension: Individuals sealed by Seal manifest inside an internal pocket dimension, stuck to the walls by sticky black goo. Whenever Seal uses one of his abilities, the individual is pressed against a large white orb. Within this space, ethereal copies of Seal may appear as a sort of "immune system", automatically defending the orb - Seal is not conscious of this and seemingly cannot perceive inside this space at all.
