The Union Arc is the eleventh arc of the Undead Unluck manga series, and first arc of the 101st Loop Saga. It deals with Fuuko's first steps in forming the "ultimate Union" in the final loop, mainly saving Gina Chamber from her tragedy, and then the first set of "Quests" the Union undertakes.

Synopsis

Heat

Fuuko manages to stop Akira Kuno from touching the G-Liner and becoming Unknown. Using Move to take them to the Stanley Bench in Canada, she then explains to the young Akira about herself and how she's lived since the 1800's, revealing that Andy has set out to secure more artifacts, asking Fuuko to ready Union while he's gone. Fuuko then sends Akira back home, thus preventing his tragedy of disappearing from every happening. Move asks if they aren't getting Unknown for help, but Fuuko states that he did enough as Anno Un, and with the information in the G-Liner, she believes that the Artifact Heart will appear here, in the 101st loop. Unfurling a map, she then reveals to Move her plan to save every Negator from tragedy like Akira, hoping to build a Union that can work together to bring down the Gods and stop Ragnarok.

Some time later in New York, she approaches a younger Nico Vorgeil about the slaying God. While initially against it, seeing Move in action and learning about the truth, he reluctantly helps her. Fuuko then reveals her plan to stop the Negators' tragedies from happening, and their first step is saving Gina. While Nico is still reluctant because she won't reveal his own tragedy (under fear that doing so will cause him to distance himself from Ichico Nemuri, which will stunt his growth and prevent Mico from being born) he agrees to help Fuuko stop Gina from accidentally killing 40,000 people through her powers. But to do so, they need Nico's Psycho Pods. With Fuuko giving Nico a head start thanks to building some of the equipment required and money thanks to knowledge from the artifacts allowing her to haggle land and strike it rich from the natural resources underneath, she heads out to gather scientists to help Nico further. This includes Ichico herself, as she prevents her tragedy of accidentally killing the man who saved her from a train thanks to Unsleep causing her to pass out by saving both. the recruited Ichico reveals to have built a detector for the missing piece for the Psycho Pods, which turns out to be Fuuko's Union emblem. With the Psycho Pods now functional, Fuuko then has Move transport herself, Nico, and Ichico to Russia to stop Gina's tragedy.

In Russia, Gina, who is still upset over her grandmother's passing, is attacked by UMA Heat, which causes her to first manifest her powers. Thanks to Nico's Psycho Pods, he is able to contain Gina's powers, preventing Unchange from killing anyone. Fuuko then fights Heat by herself, where it's revealed that she has evolved her Unluck to imbue objects and tools that she cherish with misfortune, which defeats the UMA with a meteorite. However, the "meteorite" turns out to be Feng, who challenges Fuuko to a fight, as per their agreement that he must only kill UMAs, no one else. Fuuko obliges, and defeats Feng by combining her Unluck with the moves Shen taught her, causing the remains of Heat to trigger an explosion and defeat Feng. As she leaves, she explains to Feng about her master, and that if he wants to become stronger, he must meet and raise him. Feng leaves as per their agreement, but vows to kill both Sheng and Fuuko to negate her ideals about strength.

Metamorfall

Later at Stonehenge, Gina gets her previous self's jacket while Fuuko digs up Apocalypse to begin the quests yet again. However, she opts to pass many of the quests and receives penalties in order to hasten the time outside, allowing for the Union to reach the members of Under and the next tragedy. Eventually, she settles on the quests for capturing Void and neutralizing UMA Autumn, and by then, 26 years have passed in the outside world. With a now more advanced Union at their disposal, they plan to take on UMA Autumn first, as Void has yet to awaken his Negator ability, and it was currently in possession of an old man named Yokezu. For the fight against Autumn, Fuuko decides to use the same trick Anno Un did back in the Autumn Arc and turn herself into a book so Gina can meet her previous self and become stronger. Once Fuuko sends Gina into her book, back to the 100th loop where they first met, Gina meets the ghost of 100th Gina, and despite some initial misgiving Ghost Gina had for Fuuko, she relents and gives Gina the knowledge to properly control Unchange when she sees that the jacket Gina wears is her own. With this knowledge, Gina now has the power to properly use Unchange, saving Nico and Ichico from Autumn before cleaving it in two, killing it instantly.

Unavoidable

Back at the base, Gina beings imitating her 100th loop's outfit as a form of respect, while Fuuko uses the Soul Caliber artifact to finally give Ichico some long deserved rest. Nico shows his feelings for her, but brushes them aside when being told Ichico could still see her, opting to building the memory altering satellite. Just then, Bau informs the group that Yokezu has passed, and it will only be a mater of time before Void's tragedy happens. To deal with it, Fuuko takes the place of Void's opponent/victim, challenging him for the belt. While he initially sees her as just a fan, her continued perseverance and an exchange of blows has Void accept her request, with help from Nico altering his sponsors' memories to allow it to happen. Void eventually awakens Unavoidable as he and Fuuko box in the ring, but Fuuko survives it and keeps fighting Void despite the attack. The match ends in Void's favor, allowing him to leave it behind without regrets before being brought back as the 3rd official member of Union.
